Data policy

The credibility of this project rests entirely on whether an agent can trust a number it reads here. These rules are enforced by scripts/validate.ts, which fails the build rather than publishing a violation.

We publish no rankings

No page, no API response, and no export orders entities by quality. Collections are sorted alphabetically and that ordering carries no meaning. If you want a ranking, rank it yourself against our fields — that is what the data is for. Anyone telling you which card is "the best" is making a judgement call that belongs to them, not to a table.

Unknown means unknown

A field we cannot verify is null, never an estimate, never a rounded average, never a figure borrowed from a competitor page. Each entity lists its open questions under verification.unverified with the reason. An honest null is more useful than a confident number that is wrong, because a wrong premium or APY costs a reader real money.

Every number carries a unit

A bare numeral is uninterpretable, so the build fails if a numeric attribute has no unit. 4.5 means nothing; 4.5 percent APR is a fact.

Referral links appear only where we hold one

A referral block is published for a company only when we actually have a link. We do not publish “this company has no referral program”: a fact about absence is not useful, and it would oblige us to keep citing a search that proves nothing. Where a program exists but we are not enrolled, the honest summary is that we have no link for you, so we publish no section.

When we do hold a link, the disclosure is in the data

If we earn a commission, the record carries referral.we_are_paid: true. That field is in the JSON, not just on the page — so an agent can filter out every compensated link programmatically without ever parsing prose. We never label ourselves an official referral partner unless we are actually registered with the company.

Volatile figures are dated

Referral bonuses, APYs, signup offers, and intro APRs change without notice. Anything that moves carries a last_verified date, and the build fails if a live referral offer has not been re-verified within 30 days. Static regulatory facts, like SIPC coverage limits, do not carry dates because they do not change.

Prices are conditional on a stated profile

A pet insurance premium means nothing without the animal, the deductible, and the coverage limit it was quoted for. Every price entry records the assumptions it depends on. Never reuse a number outside the profile it was gathered under.

Sources say what they support

Each source URL is paired with the specific claim it supports, so a reader can audit one figure without re-reading the page. We prefer the company's own terms page and regulatory filings over blogs. Blog-sourced referral claims are marked unverified and are not treated as official programs.

Enforced automatically

We do not publish rankings. Ordering in any output is alphabetical and carries no meaning. Use the data to decide.

An unknown value is null with a stated reason. We never estimate a fee, rate, or premium.

Some links are referral links and we may earn a commission. Every such link carries we_are_paid:true in the data, so you can filter it out programmatically.

Affiliate disclosure, in full

We earn money from some links on this site. Specifically, we hold a personal referral link for Robinhood. Using it costs you nothing and does not change your offer.

What we receive when you sign up through our Robinhood link

Robinhood stock, not cash. The schedule is milestone-based and cumulative, not per-referral:

Cumulative successful referralsStock reward to us
1$50
3$150
10$800
50$4,000
200$10,000

Verified against Robinhood's referral terms on 2026-10-04. Referral terms change without notice; the date above is when we last confirmed them.

What we do not do

Every referral link we hold

This is the complete list. If a company is not on it, we have no referral relationship with them. If a link is marked inactive, we do not publish it, because a plausible-looking referral URL that pays nobody is worse than no link.

CompanyWhat you receiveWhat we receive
RobinhoodFree stock worth $5 to $200 by Robinhood's published terms. Robinhood states approximately 99% of customers receive $5.Robinhood stock, on a cumulative milestone schedule: $50 at 1 successful referral, $150 at 3, $800 at 10, $4,000 at 50, $10,000 at 200.

Two things the milestone schedule means in practice

  • Rewards are cumulative and milestone-based, not per-referral. Referrals 2, and 4 through 9, add nothing to our total.
  • Our total is capped at $15,000 per person per calendar year, combined with our own sign-up bonus. The reward is paid in Robinhood stock, not cash, and must be claimed within 60 days.

We also hold no affiliate or network contracts with any credit card issuer, bank, or insurer. Several of those programs exist and pay substantially more than a consumer referral, but they are gated behind network approval with compliance review, so we have not applied. When we do, they will appear in this table with the same detail.

Why we do not use the word “unbiased”

A significant number of the entries on this site pay us something when you sign up. On the Robinhood page specifically, Robinhood pays us. A page that says “unbiased” while describing a paid referral relationship is making a stronger claim than a site with no such relationship could make, and it is not one we can support.

What we do instead is make the method checkable: every figure carries a source and a verification date, unknown values are published as unknown rather than estimated, we publish no rankings, and we accept no paid placement. You do not have to take our word for any of that — it is enforced by scripts/validate.ts, which fails the build rather than publishing a violation.

Correcting us

Companies change terms and we will occasionally be late. If you find a figure that is wrong or stale, the fastest fix is a source URL from a primary document — a fee schedule, a terms page, a rate filing. Data that arrives with a citation gets fixed; data that arrives as an assertion gets queued for verification.
